Tanasije MARINKOVIĆ (m) received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1999 and his PhD in 2009 from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, and his Master’s Degree in 2003 from the University Paris I Faculty of Law. He has been teaching Constitutional law at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law since 2000, having occupied all positions from the assistantship to the associate professorship. He has testified as an expert witness in a number of cases before the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia. As a local expert of the Council of Europe he has lectured on the application of the European Convention on Human Rights in numerous seminars for the judges and registry of the basic, appellate and Administrative courts, as well as of the Supreme Court of Cassation in Serbia. He was the editor of the legal editions of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia. He is the President of the Serbian Association of Constitutional Law. He has published: Electoral Systems of the European Union Members States (CeSID, 2002); Dictionary of Liberal Democracy (in co-authorship, Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, CLDS, 2008); Limits of Freedom of Political Association – A Comparative and Theoretical Study (Dosije, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality and Judicial Academy, 2014); Commentary of the Non-Discrimination Act (in co-authorship, Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, 2016); Commentary of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (in co-authorship, Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, 2017); Serbia (International Encyclopaedia of Constitutional Law, Wolters Kluwer, forthcoming). Also, he was a member of the research team working on a pioneering project dedicated to the development of an Action plan for achieving gender equality at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law.
